The Blog-Aholic Award

Hi Everyone! My sweet sweet friend Simon nominated me for this Blog-Aholics Award. Simon is one of my besties here on WP which I fondly call my “Besticle”. He is such a kindhearted, honest, caring sweet soul. He makes everyone feel comfortable at his blog. His blog is a variety of sci-fi, fiction, true life everyday situations and even recipes. Please stop over at his blog Planet Simon and check him out. I promise you he’ll welcome you and you’ll feel like you’ve known him for years.

  1. Put the above award logo/image on your blog
  2. List the rules
  3. Thank the blogger who nominated you and provide a link to their blog (it can be to the post in which they nominated you or any other post or you can even link to their “About” page)

Here are a few of my posts that were the most popular or that interested the majority of people:

More To Me Than You

Dig Your Way Out

Three facts about me….I hate this part. I always have a hard time of finding something interesting to put.

1.) I’m mechanically inclined…I look at industrial equipment schematics all day long and assist technicians and customers with parts needs or service information.

2.) I have a cat named Franklin. I was a dog person for 17 years. My senior pup passed away last summer. Franklin helped my heart heal after losing my pup. So for that I’m so grateful. Never thought I would be a cat lady but I suppose you could call me a cat lady in training?

3.) I adore Lady Gaga. I truly do. I saw her a couple of years ago on her art pop tour. Not gonna lie, I was center stage on the floor and it smelled like hot ass and cheese. I’m too old for that shit now. Ha. My feet were killing me by the time we made it home. I wore leather pants and heels to that concert in the middle of July in Atlanta. Not a smart move to say the least. I love that she speaks out for all of the outcasts and calls her fans little monsters. I can relate to her music and she is such a wonderful entertainer. She keeps us guessing and wanting more of her meat dresses and ass cheeks hanging out. Think about it, she sings pop, country, rock, and made a hit album with Tony Bennett for crying out loud. She will bring you to tears singing the national anthem and does it proudly. She’s fabulous.

Nominations….I also dislike this part because I want to nominate everyone but then again a lot of folks don’t do these awards. So, here’s the thing, if you want to do this, please do it. You don’t even have to share my blog or any of that. Remember, it’s good to tell your followers a little about yourself. I think sometimes we get lost in not talking about ourselves with our blogs as we focus on other things like politics, music, TV, emotions, recipes, etc. Share something of yourself with everyone. It brings you closer to other bloggers. Just sayin…

Told you I don’t like rules.

Thank you again Simon for nominating me and you know how much your friendship means to me!

Mystery Blog Tag From Simon

A couple of weeks ago I was tagged in Simon Farnell’s Blog for the mystery blog award. Simon is such an incredible friend. We met here on WP and follow each others blogs and have a wonderful connection. I call him my besticle (Bestie With Testicles) Ha! We just hit it off and I respect his work and adore him. His friendship means a lot to me. Simon writes about where his feet have been along with geeky stuff and I mean that in that in a good way. He’s extremely intelligent and loves space stuff. He also writes fiction stories as well. Check him out and say hi, he loves meeting new people and is such a welcoming host. Thank you Simon for the nomination!

Rules for nominees:

  • Put the award logo/ picture on your blog
  • List the rules
  • Thank whoever nominated you and provide a link to their blog
  • Mention the creator of the award and link their blog too
  • Tell your readers three things about yourself
  • You have to nominate 10-20 people
  • Notify your nominees by commenting on their blog
  • Ask your nominees any five questions of your choice, wierd or funny question (mention)
  • Share your link to your best post

Thank you to Okoto Enigma for creating this award. I think it’s a fantastic way for all of us to get to know one another and share each others blogs. I love meeting new bloggies and this is a great opportunity to meet new people.
Three Random Facts about me:

1: I have RLS which is restless leg syndrome and right now it’s driving me mad. If you’ve never heard of it, it’s a tingling/pain/annoyance in your legs. You want to run or kick something. It’s almost like a spasm or something. It mostly happens to me at night but this morning it’s raging.

2: I’m a very passionate person and quite blunt. Whatever comes up… comes out. If you’ve followed my blog, you already know that about me. No filtration, which can be a problem at times 🙂

3: I’m a “Fairy Godmother” at least that’s what my Goddaughter calls me anyways. My Goddaughter is now 20 years old and is staying here with me this weekend and I’m taking in every moment of it now…..well accept right now as she’s sleeping in.

Simon’s questions are:

1. What was the last picture you took? I got a cat for Christmas and named him Franklin, he’s about a year old. So, his picture is the last one I took.

2. What was the last piece of music you bought? Love On The Brain / Rihanna

3. What was the last thing you did or place you went that made you think ‘wow’ and why? A tattoo place yesterday. It’s called Now Or Never and these guys do incredible work. I got a new tat which is my Goddaughter’s lips below my neck on my back. She got a quote on her rib cage.

4. What is your greatest hope this Christmas? Well, as you can see I’m really late in doing this so Christmas is over. I’m just going to go with my hopes for 2017, how about that? I hope that this country that I love so much, U.S.A. Comes together and learns to accept people for who they are and realize we’re not all that different. We all want the same things, love, acceptance and freedom.

5. What’s the wildest work party you’ve been to and what happened? Many years ago I went to an Office Christmas party in NC and things got really wild. There was drinking, a band, a lot of single people and a lot of wild things happened. This was in the mid 90’s and HR (Human Resources) wasn’t around much. So, I can remember someone running their car into the hotel lobby and a couple or marriages ended after that party so that’s the wildest one I’ve ever been to.

My nominee’s are:

Lady G

T. Wayne

I hope all of my nominee’s can have some fun with this. If you don’t participate that’s completely OK as I know some of you don’t do awards and I completely get it. But, just know you were on my mind and I think the world of you and thoroughly enjoy your blogs.

So now that I’ve answered Simon’s questions here are mine for you….

1.) What’s your favorite concert you’ve ever went to and why is it your favorite?

2.) Have you ever done something shameful but don’t regret it? If so, feel like sharing that deep secret with us?

3.) If you won the lottery what would you do? Where would you live? What would you buy? Would you give some to charity and if so, what would that charity be?

4.) Do you cook? If so, what’s the best thing you cook and can you share the recipe with us possibly? Please????

5.) Do you have any special plans for 2017 or hopes?

On that note Happy New Year Loves and I hope 2017 brings you much laughter, happiness and content. Hugs!

Dragon’s Loyalty Award

Dragon's Loyalty Award

I’m thrilled my sassy southern friend Gwin nominated me for this award. It’s always a surprise when someone shares your blog or fancies you enough to give you one of these fantastic awards. It also allows me to share with you her blog.

Although Lady G is a new friend of mine, I can’t help but feel like we grew up around the corner from each other. I could totally see myself hanging out with her and possibly doing a little dance to Around The Way Girl or some shit like that. She’s fucking amazing so please go check her out!

Always rules ya know, so let me tell you what they are:

1. Display the award on your blog.
2. Announce your win with a post and link back to the nominator.
3. Present 6 deserving bloggers with the award.
4. Link your awardees in the post.
5. Write 7 interesting things about you.

Now you all know I’m a rule breaker and cannot stand rules so I just want all of you know please feel free to participate in this award. Even if I didn’t nominate you, copy and paste and write my loves! This just gives all of us more information about each other so we can find our connections and learn more about each other.

Seven interesting things about me:

  1. I sell industrial equipment parts for a living. It amazes people to know that a tall, blonde, blue eyed woman can look up parts and sell them. I didn’t go to college and only graduated High School. I’ve had a slew of jobs like a bank teller, collector, mortgage broker, tires salesman, etc. But, I think I’ve found my forever job.
  2. I used to do some modeling on the side when I was much younger. Never made it big but just did some local things. I won a bathing suit contest on spring break and did a few prom shows.
  3. I love RAOK and vow to do it once a week if not more. For example, buying the car behind me a coffee. Seeing a veteran eating at a restaurant with his hat on, I’ll pick up his tab.
  4. I’m a huge animal lover. I will feed anything in my yard and my husband gets very annoyed with me over it. No, we don’t have 50 cats thank god. But, I will feed any stray animal.
  5. I have two tattoos. One is a flower on the top of my foot to cover up a scar. The second is a tramp stamp. I know, it was what was popular in 2000. Ha.
  6. I love to travel. I don’t travel enough but I’ve been to Aruba, Jamaica, and Cancun. Of course I’ve been to several places in the US. So far, my favorite is Destin, FL.
  7. I eat, sleep and breathe rap, hip hop and R & B music. Music has saved me and gotten me through so much. I think it’s what helps make me a bad ass and confident person. My favorite quote is “Toss your hair up in a messy bun, poor yourself a cup of strong coffee and crank up some gangsta rap.” It gets my through the day period.

Nominees? This is always super hard for me because I adore all of  you. Again, don’t forget, if I don’t nominate you, please feel free to copy and paste the award and play along. It brings your followers closer to you by knowing more about you. Also, I like to introduce the bloggers, tell you a little about each of them as well. Enjoy!

Jim is such a funny guy. I can always count on him to comment on my posts and make me laugh. His blog is a wide range of photo’s, quotes, insight to his day and what’s going on at home. I especially like that he brings me into his world and what’s going on at home. It’s as if he’s invited me in for a cup of joe and we’re talking about the weather and the birds.  fantastic:

Tone-Loc is absolutely genuine and sincere. No, it’s not his real name but that’s what we’ll call him. Gotta love it right? You know what I love about him? He’s not judgemental nor very opinionated. I think he’s a lot like me but more laid back. He’s married with three adorable boys. Over at his blog you’ll find photo’s of his family and vacations and his variety of music. He’s supportive and encouraging and enjoys meeting new people.

Wendy is a good friend of mine. I could totally meet her out for martini’s and just dish on girl stuff. I so wish she was here in Atlanta or I in Houston but we’re not so we just have to be blog besties? Ha. I think she feels the same way, at least I hope so 🙂 Wendy is as real as you get. She’s very open about her life and I love that about her. She has so many qualities to love. She’s a fabulous Mom. She’s a strong woman. A beautiful wife to her hubby and has an incredible smile. She blogs daily for the most part and reels you in every time.

Simon or as I like to call him, Si…..he is one in a million! He makes me laugh and is always my # 1 cheerleader. He’s so intelligent too. Over at his place you’ll find space, sci-fi, and universe things as well as fictional stories. He has great quotes and loves minions too. He has some great photo’s that he shares as well. Without a doubt you’ll find several interesting things over there.

Deb is extremely uplifting and is always positive. If you’re feeling down or just having a shitty day drop by her place and read her quotes and her followers comments. She really is an inspiration. I drop by daily to get my Deb Fix. We all need some encouragement and she’s got it to give.

Bitter Ben….. This guy keeps me snort laughing. I mean spewing out whatever I’m drinking. He’s brutally honest, talented, funny as fuck and brilliant. He is constantly cracking me up. He interacts with his followers faithfully and keeps you coming back for more of his bitterness. There is no way he will do this award but I can’t keep him all to myself. Trust. He has thousands of followers but he is too good not to share. I want all of you to experience his bitterness.

My very dear friend runs the Bad Girls Mafia. It’s something that every bad girl should embrace. To some men, it’s probably a turn on to read this blog. Women, drop by and check it out. This chic will make you want to strap on your thigh high boots and kick some ass or better yet, get naughty in the bedroom.

Room 101 Award

My lovely friend Annette asked me to participate in this unique award. Normally I don’t do the awards but this one peaked my interest. Of course, I’m thrilled she thought of me and wanted my list of things that I don’t like that I would love to see banished!

Annette is fascinating to me because she’s so giving in her writing. Very talented and such a caring and sweet person. Check out her about here:

Please follow her, she will uplift you and also make you laugh. Thank you Annette for being a sweetheart!

Here are the rules:

  1. Thank the blogger that nominated you.
  2. Award 5 bloggers who fascinate, intrigue or tickle your curiosity with the Room 101 (award) badge logo on their About pages and linking to them in your post.
  3. Tell us the 5 things you would banish to Room 101!
  4. Attach these rules to your post.
  5. Grab your badge above and enjoy adding it to your trophy case, but please be respectful of the creator of the award by never altering the logo and never changing the rules.

Here are my five banishes:

  1. Racism – This shit needs to be locked away for fucking EVER. We still see it all of the time and I’m completely over it and disgusted with it. I think we can all agree we’d love to see this banished.
  2. Onions! I know, this one is strange but I hate nasty ass onions. They’re so gross, the texture alone is freakishly weird to me. They make your breath smell like death too. Banish these good for nothing things already!
  3. Speed Limits on interstates, I know, some of you will disagree with me on this but I like to drive really fast and there should be one lane with no speed limit so those of us that have sports cars, muscle cars, etc should be able to floor it and blow the cob webs out, just sayin…. *Wishful Thinking*
  4. Croc’s – I apologize in advance if any of my dear followers have a pair of these hideous plastic “shoes” if you can call them that. They look ridiculous on adults in my opinion. Children and older folks, I get it, they’re comfortable but I make fun of them when I see a grown ass man wearing a camouflage pair. WTF Dude?
  5. Drug Dealers: This shit like crack, cocaine, heroin, etc. It’s out of fucking control. It’s ruining lives.  It’s not just the addicts lives but the family members that love the addicts. It’s heart wrenching seeing people go through such horrible circumstances. I feel like if you’re caught selling narcotics such as the hard stuff you need your fucking hands cut off, this way you’ll never be able to pick up another rock to sell EVER again. I know, harsh but maybe that would stop the nonsense.

So, there’s my two cents and opinion which isn’t worth much but you get the drift.

Now, for the five bloggers that I can’t get enough of….This doesn’t mean you have to play along. Anytime I have the opportunity to share some of my favorites it’s my pleasure….

1.)  T. Wayne is amazing. Always so kind in commenting and sharing with us stories, his incredible knowledge of music, quotes, etc. Check him out!

2.)  Lisa makes me snort laugh. She’s the one that when you read her blog you’re seriously laughing out loud. She’s a Mom and a wife and as real as they come. Why can’t more Mom’s be like her? She’s cool, so funny, makes fun of herself and is so honest. Love her!

3.)  Wendy is like family to me. She is so encouraging with her blog and she makes you feel like you’re an old friend. She’s been through so so much in the last few years but I love watching her grow. She will be a life long friend to me. I simply adore her.

4.)  Sigh….Carisa….She will make you feel all types of emotions, she will pull from your soul and you will cry reading some of her posts. She is one of my hero’s. My God, she’s been through a lot but Day-ummmm, she overcomes any bullshit thrown her way. She writes super hot poetry, she’s adorable, funny, super sweet and bad ass. A brilliant combination if you ask me!

5.)  Simon, he’s one in a million! I would say he’s one of my closest friends on WP. He’s in the UK but feels like he’s right around the corner. Such a great guy. I love his music posts and he’s even warming me up to space crap. I’m not into Space / Sci Fi stuff but he helps me understand it a bit more in his posts. He’s funny, so so caring and just an incredible friend.
