Thanksgiving Adventures In Asheville

Today’s my 44th birthday…….I’m still killin’ it <<< in my dreams >>> Ha! As usual, I crack myself up.

So, the hubz wanted to do something special for my birthday which was a quick holiday break to Asheville, NC.

We started out with a romantic little italian dinner at Vinnie’s. Vinnie’s has a friendly, happy, eclectic staff. You could just tell they wanted to be there and they wanted to serve you. How often does that happen, like NEVER. I had the chicken marsala which was absolutely incredible.

The next morning we ventured out to the River Arts District. As you can see in the shots below the graffiti was a kaleidoscopic variety of vibrant colors and images….

Afterwards we had Thanksgiving lunch at The Grove Park Inn which was quite stately and fancy compared to our traditional Thanksgiving dinners. Check out the pictures below…

Everything was exquisite! It was very special and that’s what my hubby’s goal was.

This morning before heading back home we stopped at a local doughnut haunt “Vortex”. They were fucking outstanding! As you can tell, our holiday trip was all about eating…..

So, that’s what I’ve been up to for the past few days. Now I’m home and about to get this party started “up in here” “up in here” with putting the tree up. Hoping all of you had a very Happy Thanksgiving!
