In days gone back in England in the area north of Birmingham known as The Black Country (on account of the amount of industrial activity) they had this saying ‘Yaw giv it som ‘ommer’ which in standard English reads ‘You give it some hammer’; in short ‘Go for it!’ (only more so).
Thought it might come in handy some time.
    Cheers
    Roger

        Try this one:
Usually told to kids who were rushing about the house and to slow down. But also to anyone in general rushing.
“Hey! Steady past yer grannies!!” (since it wasn’t true Black Country, the words don’t need too much translation).
Oh well, off to bed (UK time 11:42pm)
